A few years ago I started a spreadsheet that tracked the usage of the Cardinals pitchers across the entire system. I ended up deciding to make a new spreadsheet for each season. Here’s a link to the spreadsheet for the 2024 season for anyone that’s interested.

Wow, that is a lot of work to maintain. Thank you for sharing. Also, please offer up your resulting observations when you see interesting patterns or events of note.

Thanks for allowing me to share, Brian.

I’m not smart enough to offer up an analytical observations, but one thing I’ve noticed when comparing this spreadsheet to previous years is that the team has a bad trend in forcing themselves to purposely play with a short bullpen. Gallegos last year only made 1 appearance in the first 10 games and Woodford made 1 appearance in the first 14 games. So far Fernandez hasn’t appeared in the first 5 games. Just feels like bad bullpen management is a trend.

I’m willing to share the previous years if anyone is interested.

That is an incredibly impressive chart BHC. Thanks for doing that. I look forward to following it.

I keep excel charts myself except they are for payroll related matters.
