To open Week 5 of the AFL, the Scottsdale Scorpions were defeated at Surprise on Monday afternoon. Three Cardinals prospects appeared. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day Victor Scott walked and stole his 13th bag of the AFL season.

The Scottsdale Scorpions (12-11) fell to the Surprise Saguaros (15-9) at Surprise Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Leadoff batter Victor Scott was 0-for-3 with a walk. TCN’s no. 11 prospect walked and stole second base in the third inning. He is second in the AFL in stolen bases with 13.
Shortstop Jeremy Rivas hit in the ninth spot and went 0-for-2. Rivas walked in the sixth inning.
At the DH spot, Jimmy Crooks hit fifth for the Scorpions. Crooks went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.
The Scorpions went 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position with six runners left on base. The lineup had three hits and three stolen bases in their third straight loss. They dropped to third place in the AFL.
