Cardinals Arizona Fall League Notebook – October 20, 2023

On Thursday, the Scottsdale Scorpions fell at Surprise by a score of 5-0. Two Cardinals prospects appeared. Victor Scott and Jimmy Crooks went a combined 0-for-7.

Scottsdale 0 at Surprise 5

The Scottsdale Scorpions (9-6) were blanked by the Surprise Saguaros (9-7) at Surprise Stadium on Thursday night.

Leadoff man Victor Scott started in center field for Scottsdale. TCN’s no. 11 prospect was 0-for-4 with a strikeout and three groundouts.

Jimmy Crooks started the game at first base and batted seventh. He went 0-for-3 with two groundouts and a flyout.

The Scottsdale lineup only had three hits and two walks in the nine-inning contest. Surprise recorded six extra-base hits while Scottsdale had none. Rangers prospect Cameron Cauley hit two home runs and plated three for the Saguaros.
