    My wife and I are planning on a trip to DR next summer. Has anyone on this forum been to a DSL Cardinals game in person? Is it safe for American tourists? Are there any travel groups that specialize in packages that include games? I’d be very interested to hear about the experiences folks have had.

    Google Dominican Republic Baseball Tours. There appear to be several options.

    There are reviews for baseball tours in DR posted on the Trip Advisor site, which I think is reliable.

    Our old friend Aaron Miles was victimized in a similar incident when he was playing for an Astros minor league team in FL. As I recall it, the robbers forced their way into the players hotel room, tied them up and attempted to rob them, but were interrupted by the arrival of the police. Scary.
