I hope you can read it. I was interested because she is a Carolina grad. and was a scout for the Cardinals last year. I met her this Fall at Scrimmages and talked to her. She was knowledgeable and nice.
Didn’t the Cardinals org have a female coach at the complex who got a job as a uniformed coach in the Yankees system some while ago?
It was Rachel Balkovec I was thinking about. Currently manager of the the Yankees low A affiliate in the Florida State League. Started out as strength and conditioning coach with the Cardinals Johnson City affiliate about 10 years ago. Not at Jupiter as I thought.
Cool news. I’m not a big fans of female coaches but not because I don’t think they aren’t capable. I just feel there are plenty of guys that have actual baseball experience recently at some level that giving females who wouldn’t have that is just basically a quota system or some kind of gender bias thing. But I have known females that knew the game very well and if there was a national baseball league for females, I wouldn’t really have an issue at all.
