BSMW tonight says the Giants starter is TBD. So, will it still be Rodon? And if it is I am sure Pujols will be in the lineup.

And Danny Mac needs to stick to his day job. His impressions ain’t gonna cut it.

Baseballpress.com has it Jakob Junis (R), I don’t know what their source is. He used to be with the Royals.

It does appear to be Junis indeed.

When this series started I was hoping for a split. We’ve got that, but it sure would be nice to come away with three of four. Kenny Hudson better be on his game today as I think the Giants finally have come out of their slump.

Din-din today will be a center cut rib chop in the air fryer, some Bush’s baked beans, some bread & butter, a Mt. Dew, and the last piece of Strawberry pie from the Amish restaurant. I’ll be tuning in to the Pirates and Reds game at Crosley Field while I enjoy my feast. Whitey Herdog will be on the couch with me, trying to coax a few bites. Then afterwards a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar.

Ewwww- I don’t like that 1.15 looking era for Rondon. Good thing hes LH since we’re mostly RH. Maybe even things out? Don’t need any brain fart pitching today after last night. A new day! Din-din will be the spaghetti I didn’t make last night. Got some Ultimate Subs instead. Happy Mothers Day to all mothers!

Three out of four would be nice indeed and would put us in a proper frame of mind for giving those other birds (the ones from Baltimore) a thorough thumping when we get back home. PDJ appears to have taken a break, at least temporarily, from his steady march toward a .099 BA. Will he surprise us with another two-for-four? One can dream. Let’s hope the rest of our redbirds had their Wheaties this morning. Rah Cardinals!

Sunday din-din, in the oven as I write, will be breast of duck roasted with carrots and potatoes, a green salad, iced tea, and a hefty slice of Alsatian apple pie.

Since we are facing a righty, will it be Yepez or The Five Million Dollar Man Dickerson? Or maybe we get a Sunday get out of town lineup.

Guess it is Junis today. Bulletproof so far this season. Lets end that today and get some runs. Go Cardinals!

Reds trail the Pirates 2-0 in the bottom of the 2nd. A two run homer by Perez in the top of the 2nd off of Mahle is the difference so far. The Reds lost the 2nd game of the DH last night to the Pirates by the score of 8-5. They are currently 4-23 on the year.

I wonder if this is the year that Votto does accept a trade at the deadline?

Taking 3 of 4 in SF would certainly be nice.

The fam and I celebrated Mother’s Day with brunch at a local restaurant called Nomad’s. I had a breakfast burrito consisting of eggs, beef, cheese, tortilla chips, black olives, onions, all wrapped inside an organic tortilla and topped with salsa and ranch dressing. Drinks included a high energy Starbucks coffee and and ice cold coke.

Just the way this series has played out, how does it not end in an extra innings affair this afternoon? It’s going to be a most contentious ballgame. Love seeing Juan “Pez” Yepez being trotted out there on a daily basis. You know what happens next don’t you? Pez is on the precipice of throttling some homers for us. And wouldn’t you love to catch Pez’ first ML homer! With some players, you’d hold their first ML dinger tight in your clutched hand, until they ponied up some real cool stuff in trade. And with other players, such as Pez, you’d immediately fork the ball over to them with no thoughts of receiving anything in return.

Some mighty fine Mother’s Day din-dins, gang! Nomad’s restaurant sounds like a doozy, Scotty. And Cardinal In France’s roasted duck would sure hit the spot on this fine Sunday afternoon. And Wooster’s homemade spaghetti, though a day late, is sure to be a hit at the Wooster household today. And Rat? You need to toss us a din-din changeup every now and then to keep us on our toes. I’m not sure what the wifey has in mind for din-din today, as she always cooks up surprise din-dins on both Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. On these special days, she won’t let me near the kitchen until the dinner bell rings. I think today’s din-din is going to be a real dandy, as she has all three of her sisters and her mother in the kitchen with her. Let’s play a little ball here shortly, shall we?

God bless the person, most likely an acquaintance of Abner Doubleday, who invented the double play, as once again it gets us out of a pickle. On this occasion, with Giants on the corners with just one out in the 1st. No score.

Hudson forgot to bring his strikes with him. But he did bring a bucket of luck. Hope he didn’t use it all up in the first inning,

Albert gets nailed just above the wrist by a Junis inside offering…. he’s ok.

And now Pez gets his teeth into one and whacks it high and deep……and into the right field seats for his first ML homer! 2-0 Cards.

Yepez may have seen the last of Memphis with the way he is hitting. Not good news for Mr. Dickerson.

Hopefully PDJ can put back-to-back decent offensive performances together. Well, he flies out routinely to right to end the Cardinal 2nd, but thanks to Pez’first ML homer, a two run blow, the Birds have themselves a 2-0 advantage as we venture to the bottom of the 2nd here in San Francisco.

Yepez is quite the hitter. Yes, looks like we won that Matt Adams trade after all.

Din din we are going to Mission Taco, supposedly California street food style tacos. Wish me luck. Glad to hear we are off to a good start, maybe I can catch the late innings.

Lamont Wade Jr. then just crushes a 2 run bomb to right to tie it up on a Hudson batting practice pitch right on down the middle of Broadway & Main. Get that pen up and moving!

Indeed, stlcard25. Let’s hope that deal ends up making our top 5 trades of all time list….never know.

Sounds like Bling has a few reservations, and not the seating kind, for his trip to Mission Taco, as he’s hoping for some good luck there. Good luck Bling……have the wifey take the first few bites……just to make sure it’s ok to indulge.
