I’m curious. What does the average AA or AAA player make in terms of salary? I saw something the other day where it said a player at AAA only made around $8,000 a year.
Anybody have any insight here?

For AAA players there is a huge variance. There is the minimum which I believe is $2000+ a month ($12k+ per year). There are those on the 40 man roster. I think second year on 40 man roster is a different rate. And then there are minor league FA types who can earn $3k-$10k a month or more. There are also guys on split contracts that pay one rate in the majors and another if in the minors (but usually substantially more than the minimum)
