Became a Cardinal
Selected in the 23rd round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft. Signed on June 15, 2009. Traded to Atlanta for Juan Yepez on May 20, 2017. Reacquired for cash considerations on August 21, 2018. Returned to free agency on October 29, 2018.

2011 Season
The Texas League Player of the Year finished with a .300 average, Springfield-record 32 home runs and 101 RBI. Adams led the Double-A league in RBI and slugging percentage (.566) and ended his season with a stint in the Arizona Fall League.

2010 Season
Led the Midwest League with 88 RBI, 63 extra-base hits and a .541 slugging percentage. Led all Cardinals minor leaguers in slugging percentage and doubles (41).

2009 Season
Split his first professional season between Johnson City and Batavia and hit very well at both stops, posting a combined line of .355/.400/.557 in 270 plate appearances. Hit ten home runs and drove in 52.
