Cardinals Minor League Notebook – June 30, 2021

Just one of the Cardinals minor league affiliates completed its game on Tuesday. Double-A Springfield was trounced despite Player of the Day Delvin Perez’ (2-for-4, triple, RBI, R) efforts. Memphis began its game but was unable to complete it due to rain, and Palm Beach and Peoria will play doubleheaders on Wednesday after their Tuesday games were rained out.

Cardinals A-Ball Teams Welcome Back Four

Four players who had been inactive with St. Louis Cardinals Class-A affiliates Peoria and Palm Beach were activated by their respective clubs on Tuesday. High-A Peoria welcomes two pitchers back into action while Low-A Palm Beach receives a pair of outfielders.

Cardinals Minor League Notebook – June 28, 2021

The St. Louis Cardinals minor league system went 1-4 on Sunday with the only win coming from a walk off win in Palm Beach. Kevin McGovern is the Player of the Day following his strong outing for Springfield. Other notable performances came from Jordan Walker, who had a three hit day, and Jhon Torres, who homered in his third consecutive game.

Palm Beach Cardinals Shake Up Catching Corps

The roster of the St. Louis Cardinals’ Low-A affiliate received multiple changes on Monday, June 21. Three players were added, one went on the 7-day injured list and two were sent down. Two of three sets of moves involved catchers with another involving a current outfield prospect and a former one.

Cardinals Draw LeBlanc

The St. Louis Cardinals have signed 36-year-old left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc to a free-agent contract, optioned Seth Elledge to Memphis and moved Max Moroff to the 60-day injured list.

Cardinals Minor League Notebook – June 14, 2021

St. Louis’ minors translated walks into wins on the 3-1 Sunday with free passes key in both Memphis’ and Palm Beach’s victories. Springfield won behind starter Dalton Roach’s strong effort and Player of the Day Masyn Winn’s big slam and seven RBI led Palm Beach. Peoria took one in the loss column.
