Memphis Redbirds Notebook – 2022 Week 17

The return from the All-Star break has not been kind to the Redbirds as they lost four of six at home. The main culprit is pitching, with five or more runs given up in all six games. The offense, led by the slugging of Moises Gomez and Paul DeJong, is first in the league in BA, SLG and OPS.

Cardinals Minor League Notebook – July 18, 2022

The St. Louis Cardinals system went 0-5 on Sunday as the pitching yielded 43 runs. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Springfield OF Justin Toerner, had three hits including a home run, a walk, four RBI and an outfield assist. Other standouts include Paul DeJong, Chase Pinder and Jake Burns.

St. Louis Cardinals MLB Notebook – May 30-June 5

A 6-2 week helped the St. Louis Cardinals move to just a half game back of the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers. Paul Goldschmidt continued to lead the offense (1.030 OPS), but he was joined by the now-injured Corey Dickerson (1.200) and rookie Brendan Donovan (1.000 OPS).
