Bumping in hopes I can get an answer here.
It had not happened once since 1959 and now its happened twice in a week. Another Reds pitcher has hit a grand slam. Last week DeSclafani and now Lorenzen. This is Lorenzen’s 3rd homer this year.
And the Cards trail 2-0 in the 2nd.
Every now and then when I try and Reply I get this error message:

Whats up here???
Why isn’t Fowler playing against the right-hander?
Is it scorching hot in St. Louis today? The Weather Channel says heat warnings are in affect all through the Midwest with the heat index well above 100.
Its pretty bad when they have Garcia batting in front of Fowler.
Dexter, why not do something about it?????
There is a huge pile of green stuff all around the St. Louis area as I type this. According to the Doppler radar, that is.
I am expecting a big time delay. Maybe even a postponement. In the meantime I am going to search on CB Radios and see which one might be the best fit for my 2013 Ford F150 truck.
“Breaker 1-9, how about it Pugs, You got your ears on?”
Whats the forecast for game time tonight? The Doppler radar shows a lot of green stuff in the St. Louis area or perhaps headed that way.
Reds pound the Cubs – again. That’s three straight over the Cubs. DeSclafani with a grand slam. The first grand slam by a Reds pitcher since Bob Purkey in 1959.
11) The neighbor kids playing soccer on your front lawn…
I don’t have any sh~tina$$ kids playing soccer on my front lawn.
I bet if you asked Whitey Herzog what he thinks about the points I made he would probably shake his head in agreement. Silly goofy crap is NOT what Cardinal baseball is all about. Let them go to Monday Night Raw if they want to act like goofballs instead of hard-nosed Cardinal baseball players.
I will tell you whats in store for Saturday and Sunday. One word:
WHEN ALL YOU DO IS STRIKEOUT YOU CANT SCORE RUNS!!!!!!
I am so sick and tired of everybody swinging like maniacs I am about to vomit.
As far as I am concerned everyone of the Cardinals can go. That includes the coaching staff. And I am so sick and tired of the stupid goofy crap that I am about to vomit again.
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GOOD OLD FASHIONED HARD-NOSED CARDINAL BASEBALL??????
I don’t know about the rest of you posters but the Carlos Martinez act is wearing thin. Its just about ran its course. All of his stupid, childish crap. All the different colors of hair, the stacking cups, seeing ghosts, and stupid crap like that pitch he made last night.
You tolerate a goofball if he is going good but this is his 6th year with the Cardinals and he’s yet to live up to his potential.
If he had more of the Bob Gibson attitude it would be a HUGE improvement. In my mind if we get a good offer for him i’m just about ready to send him packing.
I am 59 years old and I flat out guarantee you that I could play 1stbase (defensively) better than either Martinez or Carpenter. I 100% guarantee that. Its almost to the point where I worry if either one of them can even catch the ball.
The pickoff throw that got past Martinez last night, geez, I could have barehanded that one. How on earth can a big leaguer not catch that ball?????
Any word on Wacha’s injury yet? And what about Martinez?
I should be able to watch the first few innings before I leave to head to the Amish restaurant down the road for my late lunch. Hopefully the offense we saw late in the game last night will return again.
I’m not sure what Arrieta’s lifetime record is against us but I do expect Wong to be back in the lineup again today.

Resident boatrocker? Do you mean…..
Pham – because of his comments
Fowler – because he’s playing pitiful and just seems to smile and laugh and not take anything seriously and basically acts like he don’t give a sh~t.
Martinez – with his stupid hair cuts and hair colors and cup stacking.
That was tongue-in-cheek about Holland..:)
Why didn’t they bring Holland into the game instead of Bowman?
IT MAKES ME SO SICK, JUST DISGUSTS ME MORE THAN ANYTHING ABOUT THE CARDINALS, WHEN I SEE THEM SWINGING LIKE MANIACS IN CRUCIAL SITUATIONS WHEN THEY HAVE TWO STRIKES!!!!!!!
DANG PEOPLE, QUIT TRYING TO HIT THE BALL FOUR MILES AND JUST PUT IT IN PLAY WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE AND YOU HAVE TWO STRIKES!!!!!!!
r/A Disgusted Rat
Bring in Holland if we are up 7 runs?
You better get Hicks and Norris warmed up if you do.
I wouldn’t really consider this one a MUST win but it would sure be nice to salvage a game out of the series. That four game series at Wrigley right after the All Star Break looms big in my mind. We cant afford to get swept there. Right now, however, i’d take one of those four games and be happy.
Hopefully Flaherty wont hang any sliders tonight like the Redbird hurlers did last night.
I hope you are right Pugs. But as a genital rule, if a player strikes out a lot in the minors he is going to strikeout more in the majors.
By the way, have you been watching the U.S. Open debacle at Shinnecock? Something tells me that you could have beaten Messrs Mickelson, Spieth, and McIlroy today.
Why do these guys deserve a chance in St. Louis when they are striking out too much in the minor leagues? If they get called to the big team they will logically strikeout more. Don’t we have enough players striking out already without calling up new ones to strikeout???????
On a good note, I suppose, the Brewers down the Cubs 1-0 this afternoon.
Anybody see the rundown play last night when the Cubs had Yelich trapped between 2nd and 3rd and what Cain did? When that happened I said outloud to myself…..”Now there’s the Cubs that we all know and love!”
