Down and in, and sliders away are still the nemesis of this team. And Castillo is exploiting that tonight.
Cards better start getting some hits or this one’s over. This Castillo kid is pitching well and is poised on the mound. But he hasn’t had any pressure. Need to get some base runners pronto.
Agree with you BHC. Would like to see more of Wisdom in the field.
No offense to anyone who is sight impaired, but Adams looks like a blind man swinging at the plate.
1-2-3 DP! Nice play!
Ponce not looking too sharp tonight. Offense needs to give him some breathing space. Save that….Schildt pulling him now.
2 out rallies. That’s what I’m talking about!
Cecil letting them back in. Not surprised at all. Weakest link in the chain.
Carp with the 4-bagger! I love it when Homer Bailey lives up to his namesake!!
When you have the sacks full and no outs, if you don’t come away with at least 2 runs then you have to look at the opportunity as not a successful one…
And last night, they had runners on 2nd and 3rd no outs, and didn’t score. Was in the stands so I actually paid to see that. Nonetheless hope they win tonight, and so far, so good!
Anyone know what Gant is registering on the gun tonight?
Gant’s hitting mid-90s (94-95) and looking pretty good.
Just as CardsRedSox4Ever predicted, Cecil does his job and works a scoreless 8th
Miracles do happen!
Offense stuck in neutral tonight. Hope they shake that off by tomorrow. Lots of chances to be a hero tonight, but no one stepped up.
Oh no, it’s Cecil. I guess Schildt has given up on this one.
Lead off single by Adams. Let’s catch up quick!
Shreve warming up in the BP. I don’t have a good feeling about this one.
Oh crap. Our bats better wake up in the 5th before it’s too late.
Carp walked off the field while playing 1st. No obvious injury…
Nice DP! 1-4-3.
Carp just pulled off first. Couldn’t tell why,but the trainer went with him. Adams in.
Yadi hits into the DP. But holding out hope for inning #4 to put a couple of tallies up. I’m feelin’ it!
Yes, Miles looking better in 2nd inning. I don’t have the advantage of color commentary or replay but looks like Williams is mixing it up pretty well. Our guys are off balance right now.
Lead off walk for Carp. 3rd baseman stayed in position during the shift on Carp then moved over to 2b w/2 strikes. Interesting.
In the stands tonight, Redbird Club of course. Miles looking good but J-Mart needs to keep it together in RF.
Pugs, I’m disappointed Blackmon is on the bench today. Was hoping to catch his smokey eye one more time. Ha!
Blackmon almost looks like a Blackman with that half gallon of eye black he’s sporting under his eyes….and I thought my wifey loads up on the makeup sometimes…..I think Charlie wears more makeup than Mrs. Blackmon.
Pugs, meant to tell you that comment was hilarious. They say there’s always some truth in comedy. We’ll see if Blackmon loads up again tonight. Ha!
