There was only one person who got stirred and upset by the articles Brian posted and that person dismissed the writers as being trivial and obscure instead of trying to dismiss their points. When you trash the writers instead of the articles you essentially show you can’t make a valid argument.

Because you use those “facts” as an excuse for the team’s overall performance when every team deals with adversity. I’ve already told you that you use that list as a crutch. Its hilarious you attack a sports writer as being obscure therefore dismissing their articles. When you start adding up the amount of negative articles against Matheny, including those calling for his firing, they outweigh those that support him which I can’t seem to find any. BDW and JM are hoping they didn’t make the wrong decision with Matheny is which is why they are giving him another year with different coaching staff. They’ve already changed the 3B Coach twice under Matheny and now the pitching and bullpen coaches. This is Matheny’s last year to prove he isn’t a bust.

A quick google search “Cardinals should keep Matheny” did not result in any pro-Matheny article. It actually all negative articles (not to my surprise).

Bc uses “anonymous” Cardinal sources. That doesn’t seem credible.

Pads’ used the following steps in breaking ties:
    1. How many voters actually voted for a player
    2. How many votes a player got in the previous round

Using that method Wisdom and Plummer had the same amount of voters, but Wisdom had more votes in the previous round. Valera had 6 voters this round compared to Wick’s 4.

Using Pads’ tiebreaking method Valera wins the tiebreaker. The next round shpuld atart at 46 to keep consistency.

I didn’t call it because I’m not sure we can do it without Pads.

His draft position was pretty important to me when evaluating him and so were stats which is why isn’t a Top 25 prospect at this point. He’s in the Top 50. He has 1-2 years to prove he wasn’t a bust. At this point I’m cutting him some slack but not enough to consider him a top prospect at this point.

Astros win 2-1. Yankees made it interesting with a 2-out HR in the top of the 9th

How does the replay official make that call “as clear and convincing”? What a load of horse manure. All this time MLB is constantly preaching the replay has to be clear and convincing to rule on a call but then they go and do that?

According to Jeff Long and the MLB rule book the umpires botched that catcher interference call on Wieters

Regardless of Wieters horrible defense, Scherzer was still garbage that inning. Mr. Toothpick should be scrutinized heavily for allowing that inning to unfold like that.

Indians are 0-6 in games that would have clinched their last two series.

Top 9th Yankees still up 3-2

I said the Yankees would win Monday after Francona decided for some reason to start Bauer on short rest and he got lit up.

Sooner, just because I don’t consider Matheny to have any good qualities as a manager doesn’t mean I don’t listen other perspectives. What I have a problem with is when posters ignore his flaws and try to make excuses. I’ve never bashed you or other posters who are neutral so that was a blatant lie. Next time you want to you make a “hit piece” on me just get my personal contact so we can discuss this off the boards.

    Thanks.

Strasburg is out because he was sick and couldn’t get his workout in.
