A day after the St. Louis Cardinals released two struggling pitchers from the Double-A Springfield roster, Jacob Patterson and Patrick Dayton, two others were shipped downward from Triple-A Memphis as they came off the Redbirds’ seven-day injured list. The club also came to terms with its first non-drafted free agents of 2021.
