FOX Sports 1 adds Wednesday Cardinals spring telecast

As highlighted the other day, Fox Sports 1 will be televising regular season Major League Baseball games for the first time in 2014. That includes seven St. Louis Cardinals broadcasts. (Full details here.)

The network will also be picking up selected spring training baseball telecasts. A full March schedule has yet to be announced, but to start, games will appear on FS1 on three consecutive days, starting on Monday, March 3. One of them includes the Cardinals.

FOX Sports 1 spring training telecasts – as of 3/2

Monday, March 3 – Anaheim at Arizona, 3 PM ET, FOX Sports West, Victor Rojas and Mark Gubicza.
Tuesday, March 4 – Texas at Anaheim, 3 PM ET, FOX Sports West, Victor Rojas and Mark Gubicza.

For more FOX Sports 1 spring training telecast news that affects the Cardinals, keep checking back here at The Cardinal Nation blog. As more FS1 games are added, they will be included on the Cardinals master spring training broadcast schedule, which can be accessed here. 27 of the club’s 28 Grapefruit League games will be televised, with the only exception being Monday, March 3.

Note:
Additional information is coming to light as to how the FOX Sports 1 telecasts will work during the regular season. When the home team’s feeds originate from one of the 22 FOX regional sports networks (RSNs), FS1 has the option of using those feeds, the same way MLB Network does. In addition, FS1 games will be not be blacked out in local markets if the RSN telecasts are available.
