Yadier Molina, okay, I confess, he’s been my favorite for years. Got the jersey of course. I’ll miss him like I missed Ozzie retiring. With two of my all-time favorites passing; Brock and Gibson, it would just be another hit to my fandom. I hate the thought he doesn’t come back, I really do. However, change happens. Losing two of my boyhood heroes just reminded me that I’m old now.
Here’s the thing. We’re in a pandemic, which is devastating the world economy. Yadi’s is just being extremely greedy and it’s very disappointing. He’s made over hundreds of millions of dollars in his career. Does he really need that much more? NO!!! If he wants to finish his career with class, with dignity, then he should be signing a team-friendly deal to give back to the team and fans who have given him so much too.
His skills have diminished ever so slightly and so should his pay. He’s not the greatest anymore, his time has past. Stay and put the cherry on top of your career if you want Yadi, but don’t do it embarrassing yourself with foolish greed.
Still here Nyquis, just waiting to see if anyone else would vote on the last one besides Nigel and myself.

And now the Bob ‘Must’ Reed Trophy of impending greatness for Breakout player for 2020. Voting is now open.
I would vote for Ted Simmons and Dwight Evans. Simba’s numbers rank with all the great catchers in baseball and he played his career in a Pitcher’s ballpark. Dewey’s numbers mirror Jim Rice’s and you tack on the 8 Gold Gloves and he’s a slam dunk for me.

30. Jack RalstonCC, Gomber did not pitch in the majors this year. He did not throw one single pitch for the team. He was injured most of the year in Springfield. However, he did throw that much in 2018, so ineligible.
After a year when our system was flying high, it collectively fell on its face. It was a bad year for our hopefuls and that is why I’m going with the newbies.
