Siegrist and Woodford pitched poorly in Palm Beach.

Scott Hurst looks like another mid-round Bader/DeJong to me. We are drafting really well in these rounds lately.

Bader, Hicks, and DeJong in 2015; Gallen and Martinez in 2016; and Hurst and Robertson in 2017.

Not bad. Although Martinez could certainly step it up. I still have hope for him even though he’s clearly behind the younger Knizner.

Woodford has seemed to plateau..which is ok at his age and experience. He’s not particularly exciting but he’s been average at Palm Beach as a 20 year old (3.14 ERA/4.09 FIP). Could be a Matt Bowman type in years to come, or perhaps a back end starter in the Mike Leake mold. Not a lot of K’s and they’ve decreased every year but keeps the ball down and just gets outs. Not bad at all for a guy who probably barely cracks the top 10 starter threshold in this system.

The 2-6 Thursday for the St. Louis Cardinals system included road losses by all four full-season clubs, but Johnson City earned a walk-off win behind the bat of Imeldo Diaz and pitching of Zach Prendergast. In his first rehab inning, Kevin Siegrist allowed a run.
